"Had to try Pat's while in Philly, especially with how much history is tied to this place and the cheesesteak itself. It's straightforward and exactly what you expect from an old-school Philly cheesesteak spot. Service moves fast and the whole setup has that classic no-frills feel. Definitely cool getting to try one of the places that helped make the Philly cheesesteak what it is today. As for the sandwich itself, it was okay. I've had better from Deli stores back in New York City. Good experience nonetheless."

"Pat's cheesestake was amazing! I tried the mushroom cheesesteak and could not put it down. King of steaks is valid. The flavor and all were excellent. If you are not a fan of onions, no problem here. I mean I would go to Philly just for that. I think they ship lol. Do yourself a favor and check it out."

"Me and a few buddies decided to come out to Philly for the All-Star game and have a few cheesesteaks where it all began. We got 1 from Pats and 1 from Genos. We got them the same way and had a taste test to compare we all agreed Pat's was highly superior. The onions were portioned correctly so it didn't overwhelm the sandwich. The taste was just better. I like the way the meat is when it's chopped, and to me, it's just better than the slabs of moist jerky Geno's uses. Sorry Geno"

"We stopped at Pat’s Cheesesteaks while in Philly and had to try it since it’s one of the most famous spots in the city. Overall, it was a solid experience and definitely worth checking out at least once. The cheesesteak itself was good, plenty of meat and the bread had a nice bite to it. The flavor was solid and hit that classic Philly vibe you’re expecting when you come here. Service was fast and the ordering process is straightforward once you know what you want. That being said, it wasn’t the best cheesesteak I’ve ever had. I’ve had better ones in the area, including places just across the street, which honestly surprised me. Pat’s is good, but it leans more “famous and reliable” than “wow this is unbeatable.” Still glad we tried it, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Philly for the experience alone. Just don’t be shocked if you find better spots nearby."
